Hello, people of the inter-webs!
My name is Chaylee Arellano and welcome to One Wandering Soul. I am very thankful to all those who find this modest blog and decide to stick around with me. With this blog I want to explore things that make me happy in this life.
- my very long list of hobbies – which I will reveal in due time. Pinky Promise.
- meeting new people
- Everything else under the sun.
I believe that it is very important to find things in your life that bring you true happiness and hold on to those things as tightly as you can. Here I would like to share my life experiences – the good, the bad, and the amazing – with all of you, so that you may bring happiness into your lives too.
Part of the reason I decided to name my blog “One Wandering Soul” is because I often find myself shifting my focus from one aspect of my life to another. There are times when I am completely invested in a particular activity or hobby. For instance, there was a time when I stayed up all night to read a new book and would not sleep until the book was finished and I knew the fate of the characters I grew attached too.
Then, the intensity with which I focused on my reading endeavors would shift to another activity. Another example! When I first got really into videos games on my 3DS (the original 3DS mind you whose design was not the prettiest but holds a place in my heart all the same) I would play my games for hours if my day would allow it. My favorite Pokemon game at the time was Pokemon Diamond and I would invest many hours into developing the perfect, well-balanced team of Pokemon. It is a game I would play again today in a heart beat.
Another reason for the name “One Wandering Soul” would be that I believe in trying out everything that this world can offer and brings happiness and enjoyment to your life. This philosophy lead me in choosing the current degree I am pursuing in college, in having so many hobbies and interests. This philosophy gives me the confidence to pursue anything in this life and that I truly can accomplish anything I set my mind to.
And with that final thought, thank you all again for reading this post and I am very grateful.
With Good Tidings from One Wandering Soul to another.
